So, i'll be starting December in style by performing my first gig! Really excited to be part of a wicked line up, courtesy of Underground Sound at The Raven, Tower Bridge. My good friend, singer and songwriter Phil O'Donnell will be accompanying me on the guitar, so prepare for chilled-out acoustic vibes of my first two singles plus a few new ones to showcase!
I've never really been a performer, so it's time to really push myself out of my comfort zone and do something I'm not used to at all! I think i've said before in these blogs i'm so much more comfortable singing in a vocal booth or studio - performing live is a totally different ball game as I have to make sure I don't make a total tit of myself, like hitting my face on the mic (I've done that before!) and not having the courage to look everyone from the stage. I've had such a great response to people wanting to come and watch me perform, which has been amazing, and again I just feel so grateful for all the love and support, but means I've gotta be on point, so rehearsals start tomorrow, yikes!
I've got a few friends who've been releasing music recently and it's been amazing watching them take their seed ideas and grow them into something big. In a world that often feels fractious, being able to come together to support each other and big-up their successes is awesome and the support independence is getting is super cool. I really hope to see you at my gig in December! x
